Databases Databases

The State Library of Queensland provides free access to numerous databases for all members of Queensland's Public Librares. Included below is a selection of those available but additional databases are available here . All of these databases may be searched from home or in Queensland public libraries.

For free access -

  1. Register for a QPL account. All you need is your Hinchinbrook Shire Libaray card and an email address  - don't forget when you are registering to select Hinchinbrook Library as your library!
  2. Once you have successfully set up your QPL account  login -

* select a database that suits your information needs

* click 

* log on to you QPL account and  

* begin searching.

AccessScience

AccessScience features over 8,500 online articles from the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology 10th edition, research updates from the McGraw-Hill Yearbooks of Science & Technology, and over 110,000 definitions from the McGraw-Hill Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Terms.
