Laptops Borrow one of the Library's laptops for use within the library. ID (preferably photographic ID) must be deposited with staff in exchange for use of the laptops. With free WiFi connection the laptops can be used to connect to the Internet, Skype or to use the Microsoft Office programmes. Ingham Library only. iPads Borrow one of the Library's iPads for use within the library. ID (preferably photographic ID) must be deposited with staff in exchange for use of the iPads. With free WiFi connection the iPads can be used to connect to the Internet, Skype or various apps. Ingham Library only. Wi-Fi Free WiFi is available to library patrons with their own laptops or smartphones. WiFi access is available inside or outside the Library building. Ingham Library only. Desktop PCs (1 hour) Connect to the Internet or use the Microsoft Office programmes on one of the desktop PCs at the Ingham or Halifax libraries. PC sessions are of 1 hour duration and must be booked at the Loans Desk. Printing charges apply. Media Booths Connect to the screens and DVD players located in the media booths at the Ingham Library or just use them as a study area or a group discussion area. Patrons can connect their own laptop to the screens to share their work with others in a group or just lounge with a good book in the comfort of the booths. Historical Photographs Many of the library's historical photogrpahs have been digitised. Ask the staff for assistance to search these. Printing charges apply. Scanning service Scanning of documents available free to Library patrons. Please NOTE - The scanned image is retrievable from the Library's PCs so a booking should be made to access a PC prior to coming in to scan documents. Ingham Library only. | |
