SUBMISSION FORMAT: Items may be submitted in any of the following formats -

Pen on paper -  Hand deliver  to Ingham Library OR Mail  to Hinchinbrook Sire Library (PO Box 366, Ingham 4850)

Fax - 47763233 (marked "attn Library/Can of  Words")

Digital - via Email / Floppy disc / Compact Disc (Discs may be collected after downloading)

PLEASE NOTE

All written items MUST be saved in .txt or .rtf format to allow for easy exchange between various software products.

All images MUST be saved in .jpg format to allow for easy exchange between various software products.

DEADLINES: items to be delivered to Ingham Library by the following dates

WORD LIMIT: A word limit of 1500 words will apply to articles for this publication. Longer items will be accepted but may be published in "part" format if it thought appropriate. Authors will be contacted in such cases.

AUTHORSHIP: All items must have the Name and Contact details of the author included. Names of adult authors will be included with each item published however only the first name of child authors will be included with the article submitted. Exceptions will be made when  the item is submitted through a school. In this case parental permission has already been given to the school for the use of students' work.

COPYRIGHT: COPYRIGHT will be retained by the author. Hinchinbrook Shire Library retains copyright over the publication Can of Words and non-exclusive copyright over the articles published in Can of Words. This is done so as to exclude others from republishing your work without your permission, however all individual contributors retain the right to submit their work for publication elsewhere. 

PANDORA ARCHIVE All issues of the ezine will be archived by the Pandora project. By submitting an item for publication in Can of Words you agree to having your submission archived in the PANDORA, Australia's Web Archive. This is in no way infringes on your copyright and you remain free to publish your work elsewhere.
