Rainforest
Deep
inside, under the canopy all-spreading,
Sit
at the base of that huge cedar tree
And
listen- just listen and feel.
Feel
the coolness deep down there shielding
The
ground from the heat of the day,
And
touch, just touch and hear.
Hear
the faintest rustle in the leaves whispering,
The
groan as tree limbs sway in the breeze
And
breathe, just breathe and
know.
Know
how fern tendrils spread out, moisture seeking,
Greenness
surrounding every path,
And
watch, just watch and then see.
See
the patterns, shadows and shapes dappling,
Light
and dark, green and gold,
And
sit, just sit- then move.
Move
with the ever-flickering beams of golden light
That
filter down from the sun,
And
be, just be and then enjoy.
Enjoy
the shaded coolness in that peaceful atmosphere,
Remembering
man and forest can be one,
And
smile, just smile and pray.
Pray
the rainforest where you sit amongst beauty serene,
Will
always be here for all to see,
And
be happy- just be happy it is so!
