Gallery Hinchinbrook: My Home, My History exhibition:

  •  My Home, My History is a documentary photographic collection that tells the story of a generation of Italians who left their homeland after the heartache of WWII to start a new life in Australia . The photographs illustrate a sense of loyalty to their past, while wholeheartedly embracing their future. The images are simple and honest, narrating history, culture, identity and attitude of Italo-Australian domestic life. A documentary film is included.
    Opening: Tuesday 08th June at 6pm
    Exhibition Dates: Wednesday 09 June to Saturday 26 June

Hinchinbrook Art Awards (previously Hinchinbrook Acquisitive Art Competition):

  • We’ve had a name change and we’ve made some exciting changes. Entry forms are available at Ingham Library, Gallery Hinchinbrook or at some local businesses.

  • If you are on our mailing list you can expect to receive an entry form in the post shortly or request a copy from Pam Lane , Arts & Cultural Officer, Hinchinbrook Shire Council on 4776 4725 or via email plane@hinchinbrook.qld.gov.au.

  • The Arts eBulletin is an email sent out on a regular monthly basis to advise recipients of upcoming events, festivals, exhibitions and other arts and cultural related activities happening (in the Hinchinbrook Region only).
