The TYTO Environmental & Cultural Expo

will run across the weekend of 22nd & 23rd August, 2009.

The focus will be on showcasing the natural and cultural highlights of

Hinchinbrook Shire via exhibitions, community engagement, displays,

Wetland Tours and a range of other activities.

The Expo takes place in the heart of TYTO Wetlands, a 120 hectare

wetland site at the welcoming gate to Ingham. The Wetlands integrate

lagoons, interpretive signage, look-outs extensive walking tracks and an

interactive Information Centre and public facilities.

During the festivities, celebrities will be on hand to showcase

Hinchinbrook’s culture and our way of life.

· Food stalls • Guided Golf Buggy Wetland Tours

· celebrity Italian Chef ‘Mirko’ • Community Tree Planting

· exhibitions • Plus much more

· displays

· international food festival

· special interest tours,

You’re invited to celebrate with us, through visual arts, performing arts,

cultural development activities or just by attending.

We have a full program highlighted, with a weekend designed for the local community. We’ll be

holding a market stall weekend. We’re now calling for community groups interested in sponsoring

this event or holding a Stall to lodge an expression of interest. We also have established a range

of sponsorship opportunities across the two days. The event has been designed, in the first

instance, to give our local Hinchinbrook businesses the opportunity to claim ownership of the

project and capitalise on the thousands of visitors we’re expecting.

Special guests for the project have been organized and the WIN TV network is throwing its support

behind the project.

If you are interested in being part of this Expo or for more information please contact:
