A
very receptive crowd enjoyed the opening of the new Tyto Wetlands Centre
on Saturday 2nd June, 2007. The official events made it very clear to
all present that many years of work, dedication and expertise have gone
into the development of this project. The wide variety of wildlife, in particular
bird life, that our shire boasts, is one of the significant features of
our area and something that the community can now boast of with pride
through the new Wetlands Centre. Although the Tyto Wetlands Centre focus
is on the wetlands habitat it will no doubt draw visitors in to
investigate more of the local natural ecosystem and the history and
culture of the region.
