	Local Playgroups organised the Playgroup and Children's Expo recently in Ingham and the Library was there displaying it's range of services for families and children. A wonderful get together of community and government services for children and families in the area. well done Playgroup.

	Hinchinbrook Shire Library joins with all public Libraries in Australia to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of Possum Magic, by Mem Fox and illustrated by Julie Vivas. Story Time on Wed 2nd June will be a very special with a Possum Magic morning tea shared in our Possum Magic Junior Area - after reading this all-time favourite Australian children's book, of course.

	This year Library and Information Week was acknowledged in your Library with a display of our indigenous resources, art and crafts. Library and Information Week overlapped with Reconciliation Week so we marked both occaisions with a display of local indigenous art from the Indigenous Art students (TAFE), flags and a selection of the library's resources about indigenous issues and culture and by indigenous authors.

Don’t forget!! Homework Help Club is on again every Wednesday afternoon from 3:30pm . Students have access to free internet and word processing as well as free black and white printing and photocopying. Library Staff are on hand to help students find resources for assignments and homework. There is an Assignment Trolley where resources are set aside for various school assignments. These items are NOT FOR LOAN but are available for reading and photocopying in the library.

Please tell your teachers that we will set resources aside for their assignments if they tell us of upcoming topics.
