FRIENDS

We have a friend yes far away,

He’s in our prayers throughout the day.

True friends in life do come but few,

So lucky to have just one or two.

This friend has made our life today,

He changed what was in a special way.

Given a chance when life was tough,

He helped us shine when things were rough.

Boss to worker during the day,

Mates at night the cards we play.

Fishing friends when work is done,

Then back to work when we’ve had the fun.

Friends change our life in so many ways,

Helping us through the darkest days,

Giving us hope when life is sad,

Being there like a secondary Dad.

We thank our God for friends but few,

And hope one day we’ll  join with you.

DREAM  ON

A man laid down his sleepy head,

Perchance to dream upon his bed.

A fisherman whose name was Murray ,

His dreams they come yes in a hurry.

This time we need no misconception,

His dreams they come there’s no exception.

A silver Mackerel on his line,

A bigger one he’s caught this time.

As it came towards the boat,

A lump appeared in Murrays throat.

What he saw made him feel quite silly,

Not a fish but a large Croc-a-dilly.

It hit the boat, I mean the bed!!

Where Murray fell and hit his head.

 The moral to this story:

“If you should dream a while,

Try to catch a smaller fish

and wake up with a Smile”

“Written about Murrays boasting”
