It seems that
there was a time when ladies surely would appreciate the concern shown
by tailors who understood the 'niceties which are requisite'. The Ride
Astride skirt allowed for the more active lady yet maintained their
dignity. Many different 'requirements' could be catered for as they were
mostly made to order, yet they were made for "hard wear".
The range of
coats styles also leaves one in awe of the tailor's skill and the ladies
range of requirements.
