What is RADF?

The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), is a partnership between state and local government.  Its key stakeholders are Arts Queensland, local Councils, RADF Committees and regional and remote communities and their arts and cultural development in regional Queensland.

Every Council in the program is required to adopt an arts and cultural development policy, appoint the RADF liaison officer and set up a publicly elected RADF Committee.  The RADF Committee consists of local artists and cultural workers, member of cultural groups, local organizations or associations, or people active in their community, and is ratified as an advisory committee to Council.

Funding is available for professional artists, professional arts and cultural workers, community groups or people active in their community, or for professional arts or cultural activities.

Who Can Apply for Funding?

You can apply for funding if:

  • You are an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia

  • You require assistance toward costs of professional services for projects within your local government area

  • You are outside the local government area, but their proposal meets needs and also addresses  their Council's Arts and Cultural Development Policy

Two rounds of funding are held each year and close on the 30th of April and 30th September.

Application Forms for RADF Assistance / Funding are available at the  Hinchinbrook Shire Council Offices, and
