The inaugural Hinchinbrook Shire Library
Trivia Night, which featured a Lord of the Rings
theme, was attended by approximately 70 locals who competed fiercely for the Lord of the
Rings Trivia crown. Quiz topics included Movies and Books; Children's Movies and Books; a
Soundbyte Quiz and of course Lord of the Rings. Some dressed in the Lord of the
Rings theme for the night and others just came for a fun night out with friends. Wonderful
comments have been received following the evenings success and we thank all who attended
and helped in any way. See below for images from the night....

The Hinchinbrook Shire Library Dive Into a Book Readathon finished
with the presentation of certificates and prizes on Friday 23rd January at the
Library. This year 90 participants entered the Readathon and everyone received a
certificate. Prizes were given out to winners of the
Illustrate a Story Puppies In Space Competition and for readers in
age groups. The more books each reader read the more times their name went into the prize
draw for their age group. Congratulations to everyone who received a certificate and
prize!
